Disney On Ice: Jump In! Numerica Veterans Arena Theatre reviews
Disappointing in every way
1) Trains at Penn Station were not loaded until the time the train was supposed to leave, even though hundreds of people were ready to board earlier. It wasn't just that the Disney On Ice lost. Once you got to the Secaucus station, there was a long walk to the next train, unnecessary it seems since the whole building was constructed for this purpose. Having been former season-ticket holders, we've seen that many times. Again, we waited to board the train until departure time.
2) The most boring game ever--nothing happened, except awful calls but the refs. Stadium is ugly and not user friendly---narrow aisle, escalators placed in a way that you had to walk the length of the building to go from one escalator level to the next; inadequate bathrooms, with 20 minute lines; inadequate working foodstands--they were there, but unmanned; stands are built less vertically than the old stadium, so that even if you were in the same row, you were further from the field.
3) Would we return---maybe when the next stadium goes up! It was that getting there was so much longer than it had to be.
The Jacksons still got "it"!
Disney On Ice looked fantastic. The show was amazing! Marlon, Jermaine, and Jackie all had strong vocals. The band was incredible. They performed their hit songs and some of Michael's as well. It was a trip down memory lane for me. The clips, home movies, and Michael tribute were emotional.
I particularly enjoyed Marlon's choreography. He really nailed it! My only issue was the limited stage space. I wish they had a bigger area to perform in. Despite that, Disney On Ice showed their professionalism. You could see they are seasoned artists.
